Youth Ministry

Ground Zero:

A free youth programme which runs for 8 weeks during terms two and four.  Ground Zero focuses on leadership, responsibility, respect and team building. Each intake of 20 students ends with a camp which is always a highlight. Ground Zero looks at developing confidence, self-esteem, leadership qualities and many other life skills. Ground Zero has been successful due to the physical/outdoors nature of the course as well as the work and challenges done within teams. Contact: ethan@shft.org.nz

Turning Point Counselling

He aha te mea nui o te ao

What is the most important thing in the world?

He tangata, he tangata, he tangata

It is the people, it is the people, it is the people

The Alpha Course

Alpha is a free course where anyone can explore life’s big questions, and discover how the Christian Faith connects with them. One session per week over 7 thought provoking weeks.

Each week meet up with new friends over good food. A different aspect of the Christian faith is focussed on, followed up by discussing the topic in small groups.

ET Cares

At East Taieri we are passionate about seeing people cared for (also known as pastoral care). In life, we go through ups and downs – the birth of a child, the death of a loved one, a sickness, a tragic event – and through all the events of our lives our church family is there with us and for us. They pray for us. They offer us meals. They listen to us. They see our tears. They laugh alongside us. East Taieri Church is a place where all people are cared for.

Prayer Breakfast

You are invited to join our team for breakfast on Thursday mornings from 7am – 8am to pray about key church issues.

This prayer breakfast is held in the Fellowship Room at East Taieri and is open to everyone.

Personal Prayer

After each service people are welcome to come forward for prayer with one of the Pastors or a member of the Prayer Team.
