Community Ministry is lead by our Community Facilitator:

Our vision statement outlines:

  —  Together we will work alongside others to develop thriving communities where people feel connected, known, loved and valued

 

The role exists to champion the community engagement of East Taieri Church, there are multiple levels to this:

1. Encouraging and empowering individuals

2. Giving input to the leaders of East Taieri programmes

3. Co-ordinating and overseeing partnership and projects in the community

4. Overseeing the Turning Point Christian Counselling service

• Turning Point Grief Care Support (in association with Campbell & Sons)

• Business Breakfast

• The Mosgiel Resource Group

• Emergency Response Group

• ET Cares Firewood

• ET Cares Community Garden

• Taieri Christian Care Foodbank

• Tobias Trust (a trust set up for the relief of poverty in our community)

• Neighbours Day

• Fresh Expressions (Community on the Coast - Brighton)

• Mid-Winter Seniors Lunch and sing-a-long

• Christmas Day lunch

East Taieri Church is involved in many different ways in our communities.
